After Info-graphic about artist and we designed a portable casing for our artist, here's come transportation containers that we need to design for our artist. We are given total 3 units of metal container with the sizes of
2 x 6000mm(L)*3000mm(W)*3000mm(H)
1 x 12000mm(L)*3000mm(W)*3000mm(H)
First of all we need to think the arrangement of these 3 containers, then spaces, size of each spaces, mechanism of furniture and how we design the furniture for our artist in such a small space.
After a few times of arrangement, my final arrangement of the spaces of the container is the longest container will be my artist (ABDUL MULTHALIB MUSA) work's display area, the other shorter container will be his workshop and his private spaces.

My FINAL PROJECT 2 A0 PRESENTATION BOARD
First A0 shows layout plan and exterior view of my container and my site which are located at KLCC park because inspiration of my artist is buildings and geometric shapes, so I chose to place it at there.
Second A0 shows elevation, section, furniture details, oblique and perspective of the interior and exterior of the containers.
Material Sample Board shows some of the materials that I used to design these three containers.
Final Model
R E F L E C T I O N
After the final presentation, there are many design and question that need improvement and I should think further more about it, such as the place between the bottom two containers I design to put my artist works, but my balcony doesn't reach that area which means that when people standing on the balcony, they see nothing from there.
I really learned a lot of things through this project which included materials used, design of spaces and uses of spaces. I did not do well enough in this project, there are many question that I didn't think about it 😔
GROUP ASSIGNMENT 1 : CASE STUDY - SUBANG PARADE
We are required to identify a building which has lift as vertical transportation system. I am in group with Jun Wei and Wai Shin, the place that we chose is Subang Parade, a building which was quite a lot of building service problems.
There are several problems that we can found in Subang Parade, two of them are lighting and fire sprinkler problems.
PROBLEM 1 – LIGHTING
Subang Parade Lighting
Recommended
Lighting Illuminance
When we
stepped into first floor of Subang Parade, we can feel that the overall
lighting is too dark, which means that it’s luminosity is not standard.
One of the
problem that caused overall lighting too dark is they are using reflected
ceiling lighting which is in yellow(warm) color. Others than that, the
quantity of lighting which will affect the luminosity of the environment too,
which means that the distance between lights is too far and illuminance of each
light is considered as too low which will make people feeling uncomfortable. Besides
that, Subang Parade using dark color carpet as the flooring material so it causes
the overall lighting much more darker compare to if they are using light colour
carpet. Recommended lighting illuminance for a supermarket or hypermarket is
around 750 lux – 1000 lux, but lighting illuminance of Subang Parade was less
than 750 lux.
The
brightness contrast of a space determines its emotional impact of a people.
Hence, individual impressions of a space are a function of brightness contrast.
So, brightness of an environment is important that will affect the flow of
people to visit it.
PROBLEM 2 – FIRE SPRINKLER
Fire
Protection & Alarm System is the most common & important facilities
that should be well maintained especially places with high flow of people.
Through this case study about Subang Parade, I found their fire sprinkler was
corrosion, which will impact the functionality of the system.
Causes of
fire sprinkler corrosion that I estimated is lack of scheduled monitoring and
inspections, corrosion of fire sprinkler systems is preventable, it occurs when
they do not conduct regular inspection of fire sprinkler system, if they do
inspection accordingly, it can correct issues before fire sprinkler corrosion
becomes a factor.
Other than
that, residual water in dry pipe systems will cause of corrosion too, oxygen
and carbon dioxide present in the pipes becomes corrosive when it interacts
with the water. For wet pipe systems, where water is always present in the
pipes, it’s trapped air that causes the problems. Oxygen interacts with the
water to create a corrosive environment that leads to breakdown over time.

After this assignment, I noticed that scheduled maintenance should be carry out in every building, to provide a safer and comforter environment for all user, especially building with high flow people. Besides that, a public space (shopping mall) with a good building service can rise the reputation too.
Assignment 2 : Portable Casing Design for Our Artists
We are required to design a portable casing for our own artists for their convenience to carry out their tools,
I do research about what tools that he can carry out and he use it to do their works, which included his laptop, laptop charger, chisel set, some metals, and others tool( hammers and etc.)
Then,
I try to design a portable casing which can keep a chair and table in it so that when he was outside he still can have a place to do his works instead of do it on ground.
My overall size of toolkit is about 500mm(L)*350mm(W)*340mm(H)
I designed a small cabinet to keep all his chisel set in it using assembling mechanism. Other than keep his tools, it can be a small chair too. Other than that, there are table and chair(small cabinet) that can expand out which he can put his table on the top of the toolkit and chair(small cabinet) with X shape legs to make it more stable when he sit on it(Step 3). When he don't need chair he can slide the table to his left hand side and sit on the ground and do his works too (Step 4).
R E F L E C T I O N
I learned how to use different mechanism to minimize spaces and the measurement of ergonomics of a people, how to design something that make comfortable.
