Activity 1.2 - Process of making arch 

Materials needed: modelling clay, blade, anything for force work 

First of all, we brought those materials that we are going to use which are modelling clay and blade. Before we start, we go through the design of our arch, final decision of how to do the arch.

First, we used modelling clay to build the columns with minimum 3 inches of it, we rolled the clay first than only we cut it into several pieces. After that, we put all of it together then only we start to do the arch.

Actually at first, our decision is make the arch like a square but Ms. Sharon told us that it's was not an arch should be, so we changed our idea to a semi-circle arch. After we have done the arch, at last we created the keystone of the arch and put it on the middle of the arch.

After finished the arch, we test it many times from two phones to four phones than a bottle at last we test it with four phones with one bottle. Even though during the first time test until third time it was not really stable until we observed that the column of the arch is scale out than finally we knew the problems of the arch we fixed it by the way of make the arch shorter, closer basement, lower and finally it's SUCCESSFUL!
